Energy strategy and electromobility support from the perspective of a business entity

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou nákladů souvisejících s pořízením a s provozem elektromobilů ve vztahu k nákladům na konvenční automobily v prostředí čtyř různých zemí za účelem posouzení současné úrovně podpory elektromobility jakožto součásti energetické strategie v těchto zemích. Předmětem výzkumu jsou náklady na pořízení a provoz vozidel vyplývající zaprvé ze samotné povahy vozidel, zadruhé pak z podmínek nastavených legislativními nástroji jednotlivých zemí. Konkrétní náklady vycházejí z modelové situace projektované do prostředí daných zemí, kdy se podnikatelský subjekt rozhoduje mezi koupí konvenčního vozu a elektromobilu. Výzkum je proveden pomocí matematického výpočtu celkových vynaložených nákladů v jednotlivých letech od pořízení, díky čemuž je možné zachytit vývoj celkových vynaložených nákladů do jednotlivých typů vozidel. Vývoj vynaložených nákladů je následně znázorněn pomocí nákladových křivek, na jejichž základě jej lze snadněji interpretovat. Výsledkem práce je porovnání jednotlivých zemí z hlediska existující podpory elektromobility, z něhož vyplývá, že ze čtyř porovnávaných zemí (Česká republika, Polsko, Norsko, Spojené státy americké) je v současnosti nejrozsáhlejší podpora v Norsku, kde je elektromobil v porovnání s konvenčním automobilem již od pořízení levnější. K vyrovnání celkových vynaložených nákladů do obou typů vozidel dochází v ostatních sledových zemích dle zadání modelové situace přibližně po pěti letech od pořízení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines the costs associated with the acquisition and operation of electric vehicles in relation to the costs of conventional cars in the environment of four different countries in order to assess the current level of support for electromobility as part of the energy strategy in these countries. The subject of the research are the costs of acquiring and operating the vehicles resulting, firstly, from the nature of the vehicles themselves and, secondly, from the conditions set by the legislative instruments of each country. The specific costs are based on a model situation projected into the environment of the countries where an entrepreneur decides between buying a conventional car or an electric vehicle. The research is carried out by means of a mathematical calculation of the total costs incurred in each year since acquisition, which makes it possible to capture the evolution of the total costs incurred in each type of vehicle in time. The evolution of the costs incurred is then illustrated by means of cost curves, which make it easier to interpret. As a result of the work, a comparison of individual countries in terms of existing support for electromobility shows that of the four countries compared (Czech Republic, Poland, Norway, United States), the most extensive support is currently available in Norway, where an electric vehicle is already cheaper than a conventional car from the point of purchase. In the other countries compared, according to the model specifications, the total costs invested in both types of vehicles are balanced approximately five years after purchase.
