Activation Programme for Geriatric Patients

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá aktivizací hospitalizovaných pacientů na oddělení následné péče. Cílem bakalářské práce je realizovat aktivizační programy s geriatrickými pacienty na oddělení následné péče a zjistit pohled geriatrických pacientů na tyto aktivizační programy. Teoretická část bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na charakteristiku pojmů týkajících se aktivizace a aktivizačního programu a přibližuje jednotlivé aktivizační metody, které lze využívat u geriatrických pacientů v nemocničním prostředí. Dále se zabývá problematikou geriatrických syndromů a seznamuje se zásadami komunikace s geriatrickými pacienty. Praktická část bakalářské práce zahrnuje přípravu a realizaci aktivizačních programů u pacientů na oddělení následné péče a zpracování a vyhodnocení výsledků dotazníkového šetření, jehož formou je polostrukturovaný rozhovor. Šetření je zaměřeno na zjištění spo-kojenosti geriatrických pacientů s proběhlými aktivizačními programy na oddělení následné péče. Součástí praktické části jsou návrhy s postupy pro realizaci aktivizačních programů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with activation of hospitalised patients in the department of subsequent care. The goal of this thesis is to implement activation programmes for geriatric patients in the department of subsequent care and to find out geriatric patients´ views on these activation programmes. The theoretical part of thesis focuses on the characteristics of terms concerning activation and activation programme, and approaches activation methods which can be used for geriatric patients in the hospital environment. Furthermore, it deals with geriatric syndromes and acquaints with the principles of communication with geriatric patients. The practical part of thesis includes the preparation and implementation of activation programmes for patients in the department of subsequent care and processing and evaluation of results of a questionnaire survey, which was in the form of semi-structured interview. This survey was aimed at determining of satisfaction of geriatric patients with the implemented programs in the department of subsequent care. The practical part also includes the proposals with the procedures for the implementation of activation programmes.
