Museum Night Phenomenon

Abstract:

Muzejní noci se konají po celé Evropě pod patronací francouzského ministerstva kultury, Rady Evropy, organizace UNESCO a Mezinárodní rady muzeí (ICOM). Každým rokem se do nich zapojuje více kulturních organizací a účastní se jich větší množství návštěvníků. V České republice byl pod záštitou Asociace muzeí a galerií České republiky vytvořen měsíc trvající Festival muzejních nocí, jehož součástí je i Brněnská muzejní noc, která je oficiálně pořádána od roku 2005. Autorka diplomové práce se po osmi letech konání Brněnské muzejní noci pokusila o shrnutí programové nabídky a návštěvnosti uplynulých ročníků a na základě vlastního průzkumu mezi návštěvníky Brněnské muzejní noci 2011 kombinovaného s informacemi z dalších dostupných průzkumů také o nastínění modelového návštěvníka Brněnské muzejní noci a analýzu její propagace a efektivity.

Abstract:

Museum Nights are held throughout Europe under the auspices of the French Ministry of Culture, the Council of Europe, UNESCO and the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Every year more cultural organizations become involved, and more visitors participate. Under auspices of the Association of Museums and Galleries of the Czech Republic, there was created a month-long festival of museum nights in the Czech Republic, part of which is the Brno Museum Night that is organized officially since 2005. The author of the thesis attempts to summarize the programme and attendance of the previous eight years of the Brno Museum Night. Based on her own survey among visitors of the Brno Museum Night 2011 and in combination with information obtained from other surveys, the author outlines the model visitor of Brno Museum Night as well as analyses its propagation and efficiency.
