The Significance of Human Capital in the Creative Economy

Abstract:

Kreativní ekonomika představuje nepřetržitý proces vytváření nových a inovativních řešení, která jsou hnacím motorem společenského, hospodářského i technologického rozvoje. Zdroj kreativity lze spatřovat v lidském kapitálu jehož znalosti, tvůrčí dovednosti a talent se stávají novodobou konkurenční výhodou k vytvoření silné a prosperující ekonomiky. Cílem této diplomové práce je identifikovat faktory, ovlivňující prostorové rozmístění kreativních odvětví na území ČR. Pomocí vícerozměrných regresních modelů jsou zjišťovány faktory, které působí na alokaci kreativních odvětví v jednotlivých krajích ČR. Z výsledků diplomové práce vyplývá, že vliv na sdružování kreativních průmyslů v českých krajích má velikost populace, kvalita podnikatelského prostředí, přítomnost vysokoškolských absolventů, zahraničních pracovníků a výše mezd v kreativních odvětvích.

Abstract:

The creative economy represents an ongoing process of generating new and innovative solutions that serve as the driving force behind social, economic, and technological development. Human capital, with its knowledge, creative skills, and talent, stands as the wellspring of creativity and emerges as a new competitive advantage for fostering a strong and prosperous economy. The aim of this thesis is to identify the factors influencing the spatial distribution of creative industries throughout the Czech Republic. Utilizing multivariate regression models, the factors that impact the allocation of creative industries across individual Czech regions are examined. The findings of this thesis reveal that the size of the population size, the quality of the business environment, the presence of university graduates, foreign workers, and the level of wages in creative industries all play a role in the clustering of creative industries in the Czech regions.
