The aim of this thesis was to sum up knowledges about image mosaics and their creation using computer. There have been introduced many ways of creating image mosaics in the field of computer arts since 90's. Some of them are described in this work. Ciel’om tejto práce bolo zhrnút’ poznatky o obrazových mozaikách a ich tvorbe pomocou počítača. V oblasti výtvarnej informatiky bolo od začiatku 90-tych rokov predstavených viacero spôsobov na tvorbu obrazových mozaík. V tejto práci sú dopodrobna opísané niektoré z nich.
