Competitive intelligence and its methods of use in a public administration

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části se zabývám definováním konkurenčního zpravodajství a jeho jednotlivých metod, a také zde popisuji informační zdroje, typy informací a způsoby nakládání s informacemi. V praktické části se věnuji přístupu a využívání konkurenčního zpravodajství ve světě a zejména v České republice. Rozebírám zde výhody a nevýhody vyplývající z provádění tohoto procesu a prezentuji výsledky provedeného dotazníkového průzkumu. Další oblastí, kterou se v praktické části zabývám, je proces implementace konkurenčního zpravodajství do organizace, na jejímž základě jsem stanovila možnosti a oblasti využití, které konkurenční zpravodajství institucím ve veřejné správě nabízí.

Abstract:

The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I deal with defining competitive intelligence and its particular methods, and also I describe informa-tion sources, information types and manners for dealing with information. The practical part is devoted to approach and use of competitive intelligence in the world and in particu-lar in the Czech Republic. I analyse the advantages and disadvantages resulting from exe-cuting this process and present the finding of questionnaire survey. Other field which I deal with in the practical part is the process of implementation of competitive intelligence into an organization. Based on this process I have defined possible utilization which can com-petitive intelligence offer to the public administration.
