Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the work Paula. Ein Fragment by an Austrian writer Richard Beer-Hofmann, one of the representatives of Viennese Modernism. The thesis follows the current reflections of the work Paula. Ein Fragment and tries to develop it further. The author's purpose was to capture the recollections on the deceased woman, the work is, nevertheless, intersected with the autobiographic elements. Therefore it is possible to consider it as an autobiography.The main part of the thesis is dedicated to the reflection on the author's effort to disclaim the artistic character of the work.In this context, the problems of the autobiographical genre is analysed in general and the work is situated in the context of German autobiographical literature of the first half of the 20th century.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá dílem Paula. Ein Fragment rakouského spisovatele Richarda Beer-Hofmanna, jednoho z představitelů Vídeňské moderny. Práce navazuje na dosavadní úvahy o díle Paula. Ein Fragment a snaží se je dále rozvinout. Záměrem autora bylo zachycení vzpomínek na zesnulou ženu, dílo je však protknuto autobiografickými prvky, proto je možné na něj nahlížet i jako na autobiografii. Hlavní část práce se věnuje úvaze nad autorovou snahou popřít umělecký charakter tohoto díla. V této souvisloti je pojednáváno o problematice autobiografického žánru obecně a dílo je zařazeno do kontextu německé autobiografické literatury první poloviny 20. století.
