Methodology of the eye photographing in recent human population for iris colour analysis using common photographic instruments

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na problematiku fotografování očí recentní lidské populace za účelem zjišťování barvy duhovky, a to za použití běžně dostupné techniky. Cílem studie je vytvoření metodiky, při jejíž aplikaci bude mít její uživatel k dispozici snímky vhodné pro barevnou analýzu, a představení možného způsobu počítačové analýzy těchto snímků. Práce podrobně popisuje proces fotografování očí a mapuje proměnné, které jej ovlivňují. Dále představuje software Edwards Iris Categorization System, který lze využít pro analýzu barvy snímků. Studie jako celek poskytuje podrobnou metodiku umožňující sjednocení a objektivizaci postupu při fotografování očí recentní populace za účelem zjišťování barvy duhovky.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the problematics of eye photographing in recent human population for determining the iris colour by using common photographic instruments. The purpose of this study is to create a methodology for application. User of this methodology will be able to use images suitable for the colour analysis and will also be acquainted with the possible mode of computer analysis of these images. This the-sis describes in detail the process of eye photographing and maps the variables that influence this process. Moreover, it introduces the soft-ware Edwards Iris Categorization System, which might be used for im-age colour analysis. The study provides a detailed methodology which enables standardisation and objectification of the procedures during the eye photographing in recent human population for determining the iris colour.
