Measurement of interfering electromagnetic emissions in systems with modules for the Arduino platform and limiting the level of this interference

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou elektromagnetické interference elektrických zařízení. Primárním cílem této diplomové práce je podrobit testem EMI systémy založené na platformě Arduino s více Arduinovými moduly. V praktické části je experimentálně ověřováno vyzařování s jedním, dvěma a čtyřmi Arduinovými deskami. Arduina jsou testovaná vždy po nahrání naprogramovaného kódu od těch nejjednodušších po náročné. Nejvíce náročnou aplikací se projevila komunikace prostřednictvím rychlé impedančně neukončené sběrnice SPI. Ta byla nakonec vybrána, jako součást systému, který odpovídá jednoduché poplachové ústředně založené na platformě Arduino. Následně je navrženo a realizováno protiopatření pomocí stínění. Poslední úlohou diplomové práce je měření vyzařování tohoto systému po vedení a návrh eliminace tohoto rušení pomocí vhodných filtrů.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of electromagnetic interference of electrical equipment. The primary objective of this thesis is to test EMI systems based on the Arduino platform with multiple Arduino modules. In the practical part, the radiation is experimentally verified with one, two and four Arduino boards. The Arduinos are tested each time after loading the programmed code from the simplest to the complex ones. The most challenging application proved to be communication via the fast impedance-invariant SPI bus. This was eventually selected, as part of a system that corresponds to a simple alarm control panel based on the Aduino platform. Subsequently, a countermeasure using shielding is designed and implemented. The last task of the thesis is the measurement of the radiation of this system along the line and the suggestion of eliminating this interference by means of suitable filters.
