Summary of chosen Latin prose originated from the territory of contemporary Italy (rhetoric, oratory and historiography)
Abstract:
Cílem mé práce bylo podat přehled latinské prózy (rétorika, řečnictví a dějepisectví) vzniklé na území dnešní Itálie. Do své práce jsem zahrnula pouze autory píšící latinsky (o řecky píšících se kvůli celistvosti práce pouze zmiňuji), kteří, i když nepocházeli přímo z oblasti dnešní Itálie, nějakou dobu působili v Římě, ať už kvůli své politické nebo literární kariéře.

The aim of this work was to provide an overview of Latin prose (rhetoric, oratory and historiography) originated from the territory of contemporary Italy. In my work I have included only authors writing in Latin (greek authors are only mentioned because of continuity of work) who, although not come directly from what is now Italy, worked for some time in Rome, either because of their political or literary …more
