Minor immovable sacral monuments of the Boseň parish, their perception and transformations in historical perspective

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá drobnými nemovitými sakrálními památkami, jakými jsou kapličky, boží muka, křížky, krucifixy, obrázky či sochy a děním kolem nich. Kromě příběhu jednotlivých drobných sakrálních památek zachycuje zároveň jejich reflexi do současného života obcí a jejich obyvatel. Součástí výzkumu je katalogizace těchto památek. Zájmovým územím je římskokatolická farnost Boseň na Mnichovohradišťsku. Prvotním cílem práce bylo na základě výpovědí pamětníků i současníků vyprávět příběhy těchto památek tak, jak je zaznamenala a předávala orální historie. Formou dotazníku práce zkoumala osobní vztah obyvatel příslušné obce k dané památce, čili: od kdy památku registrují, co se kolem ní odehrávalo, případně, co o ní vyprávěli předci, jak se její existence odráží do každodenního života, jak je jimi vnímána. Odkryla tak zároveň tzv. malé dějiny, otevřela související témata: otázku religiozity obecně, otázku osobní víry, sakrality, udržování tradic v obci, udržování tradic v rodině, budoucnost tradic, a rozšířila tím původně zamýšlený rozměr orálního výzkumu. Návazně na to pak byly zkoumané památky na základě studia historických podkladů (archivních pramenů, literatury, historických map a fotografií) představeny z hlediska původu nadace, z uměleckohistorického hlediska, a na základě terénního průzkumu, kdy v zájmové lokalitě proběhl prostřednictvím vizuálního průzkumu sběr dat, byl zaznamenán jejich popis, fotodokumentace a zhodnocení technického stavu. Jednalo se vesměs o artefakty veřejně známé a nikde neevidované, případně evidované NPÚ a památkově chráněné či širší veřejnosti neznámé a neevidované, nebo již vůbec neexistující (zaniklé). Výsledkem je jejich katalogové uspořádání.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with small immovable sacral monuments, such as chapels, cavalry, crosses, crucifixes, pictures, or statues and events around them. Apart from the story of individual small sacral monuments, it also captures their reflection on the current life of municipalities and their inhabitants. Part of the research is the cataloging of these monuments. The area of interest is the Roman Catholic parish of Boseň in the Mnichovo Hradiště region. The primary goal of the work was based on the testimonies of witnesses and contemporaries to tell the stories of these monuments as recorded and transmitted by oral history. In the form of a questionnaire, the work examined the personal relationship of the inhabitants of the village to the monument, that is: when they registered the monument, what happened around it, what their ancestors said about it, how its existence is reflected in everyday life, how it is perceived by them. At the same time, the work uncovered the so-called small history opened related topics: the question of religiosity in general, the question of faith, religion, maintenance of traditions in the community, maintenance of traditions in the family, the future of traditions, and thus expanded the originally intended dimension of oral research. Following this, the examined monuments were presented based on the study of historical sources (archival sources, literature, historical maps, and photographs) in terms of the foundation's, art-history point of view, and on the basis of field research, where in the area of interest data collection took place through visual research. Description, photo documentation, and evaluation of the technical condition of the monuments were recorded. These were mostly artifacts publicly known and not registered anywhere or registered by the NPÚ (National Institute for the Protection and Conservation Monuments and Sites), and artifacts under monumental protection, or unknown and unregistered or no longer existing (extinct). The result is their catalog arrangement.
