Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na využití ironie v krátkých povídkách britského autora Williama Somerseta Maughama. Teoretická část je rozdělena do dvou kapitol. První kapitola se soustředí na otázky naratologie a analyzuje různé typy vypravěčů a rysy které vlastní. This bachelor thesis deals with the usage of irony in short stories written by a British author William Somerset Maugham. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first one examines questions of narratology, focusing on different types of narrators and features they possess.
