The impact of implementing European directives on legislation of possession of weapons in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem práce je vytvořit ucelený přehled zákona č. 119/2002 Sb., o střelných zbraních a střelivu, ve znění pozdějších předpisů, s popisem již implementovaných evropských zbraňových směrnic od vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie, s rozborem jejich prospěšnosti nebo naopak neúčelnosti. Odborně zanalyzovat dopad vybraného připravovaného návrhu k regulaci právní úpravy na úseku zbraní v České republice. Výsledek výzkumu pomocí metody dotazníkového šetření ukáže názor držitelů zbrojních průkazů na danou problematiku.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to create a comprehensive overview of Act No. 119/2002 Coll., On Firearms and Ammunition, as amended, with a description of already implemented European Weapon Directives since the Czech Republic joined the European Union, with an analysis of their usefulness or vice versa ineffectiveness, then to expertly analyze the impact of the selected draft proposal on the regulation of arms legislation in the Czech Republic. The result of the research using the questionnaire survey method will show the opinion of the arms license holders on the issue.
