Financing of viennese theaters with focus on theatre Theater Brett

Anotácia:

Magisterská práce se zabývá divadelní historií a momentálním stavem financování divadel v hlavním městě Rakouska na příkladu divadla Theater Brett. V teoretické části se zabývá historií divadelnictví na území dnešního Rakouska, sleduje možné právní formy s důrazem na právní formu rakouské obdoby spolku a pojednává o dotační politice v hlavním městě Vídni. Důrazněji se zaobírá Vídeňskou divadelní reformu, která velkým způsobem zasáhla do financování divadel. Praktická část práce se věnuje samotnému divadlu Theater Brett. Kromě zmapování historie divadla se věnuje finančnímu stavu divadla a navrhuje možná řešení dlouhodobé udržitelnosti divadla.

Abstract:

This master thesis follows up the theater history and the current state of theater financing in the capital of Austria, with the example of theatre Theater Brett. The theoretical part contains the theater history in the territory of today's Austria and deals with possible legal forms with an emphasis on the legal form of the Austrian equivalent of a theatre collective. Furthermore, the subsidy policy in the capital city is described. The thesis also aims more closely at the Vienna Theater Reform, which has greatly affected financing in Austrian theaters. The practical part is dedicated to the Theater Brett itself. In addition to mapping the theater history, this work studies the financial state of the theater and propose possible solutions and financial saving measures.
