This thesis looks at the news coverage of Czech Radio Sever, a regional radio station in the Ústí nad Labem region, from the perspective of mass media theory. The author describes some of the basic concepts related to mass media and its relation to mass society, as well as radio as a social institution and its place in modern digitalised society.
