Hlavným cieľom tejto práce je analýza dvoch kníh od Josepha Hellera: Hlava XXII a Záverečná. Obe diela sú analyzované v rámci postmodernej literatúry. Práca poukazuje na fakt, že Heller využil postupy tohto obdobia , hlavne iróniu, rozporuplnosť, intertextualitu a pokrivenie času, na zobrazenie absurdity vojny v Hlave XXII a byrokracie v knihe Záverečná. Abstract:
The main purpose of this thesis is an analysis of two novels written by Joseph Heller: Catch-22 and Closing Time. Both books are analyzed within the frame of postmodern literature and the thesis provides evidence that postmodern techniques, mainly irony, contradictions, intertextuality and distortion of time, are used by Heller for portraying the absurdity of war in Catch-22 and bureaucracy in Closing …more
