The first wave of feminism in the context of Czech society

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá historií feminismu.Pozornost je věnována především první vlně, kterou bychom datovali od konce století osmnáctého do začátku století dvacátého. Počátky tohoto hnutí lze vysledovat v mezinárodním kontextu, stejně jako v kontextu české společnosti.Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí, přičemž obě popisují první vlnu feminismu, jedna ze světového hlediska a druhá z hlediska českých zemí. V obou z nich sledujeme hlavní důvody vzniku feministického hnutí.

Abstract:

This work deals with a certain period of history of feminism. The attention is paid to its first wave. Its beginnings can be traced, in the international context, as well as in the Czech one, from the last third of the eighteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century. The thesis is divided into two main parts, describing the first wave of feminism in the internatinal context and in the Czech milieu. In both of them, we may compare the main reasons of the emergence of feminist movement.
