Dne 1. 7. 2017 vstoupil v účinnost zákon o odpovědnosti za přestupky a řízení o nich. Přestupkem je společensky škodlivý protiprávní čin, který je v zákoně za přestupek výslovně označen a který vykazuje znaky stanovené zákonem, nejde-li o trestný čin. On 1 July 2017, the Law on Liability for Offenses and the Procedure on Offenses entered into force. The offense is a socially harmful behaviour, which is explicitly identified in the law and which has the features prescribed by law, unless it is a criminal offense.
