Analysis of the Rhetorical Figures in the Political Speeches of Fidel Castro

Abstract:

The thesis deals with rhetorical figures in the political speeches of Fidel Castro. In the first part we present rhetorical figures and tropes based on the clasical concept of Quintilianus and H. Lausberg. The next part is concerning the theory of political speech. The life of Fidel Castro is presented too. The practical part deals with general caracteristics of the speeches of FC and later we focus on analysis of the most employed figures. In the conclusion we sum up all important findings and the thesis is finalized by resuming of the most frequent figures and their function and using.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá rétorickými figurami v politických projevech Fidela Castra. V úvodní části jsou představeny a příklady ilustrovány tropy a figury podle klasického schématu Quintiliána respektive H. Lausberga. Dále se práce dotýká teorie politického projevu a představen je život Fidela Castra jako politika a řečníka. V praktické části jsou nejdříve shrnuty obecné charakteristiky projevů Fidela Castra a poté jsou detailně analyzovány nejčastěji užívané figury. V závěru jsou shrnuty poznatky z celé práce, důraz je kladen na využití a funkci rétorických figur jako je metafora, hyperbola, alegorie, ironie atd.
