This bachelor thesis is devoted to the theme ?Festivals in Ostrava? and it's focuses on the history and presents of festivals in Ostrava. The main purpose of this thesis is introduce the readers with the history and the cours of Ostrava's most important festivals. Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu Ostravské festivaly a je zaměřena na historii a současnost festivalů v Ostravě. Cílem je seznámit čtenáře s historií a průběhem nejvýznamnějších ostravských festivalů. Ty jsou rozděleny na hudební, divadelní, filmové, folklórní a u každého typu jsou uvedeny zpravidla dva přední festivaly.
