Intercultural Specifics of the French Clientele in a Hotel

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem interkulturních specifik francouzské klientely v hotelu. Prvním cílem práce je na základě analýzy recenzí zhodnotit úroveň spokojenosti francouzských klientů s pobytem v pražských hotelech. Druhým cílem je pomocí analýzy zjistit, co bývá nejčastější příčinou stížností a nedorozumění v hotelovém prostředí během pobytu francouzských klientů v Praze. V souladu s cíli práce byly stanoveny 2 hypotézy. Práce je členěna na 3 části: teoreticko-metodologickou, analytickou a návrhovou. První část, zpracovaná na základě rešerše odborné literatury, je věnována důležitým pojmům z oblasti hotelnictví, marketingu a interkulturní komunikace. Ve druhé části práce je provedena analýza internetových hodnocení na cestovatelském portálu Tripadvisor. Ve třetí části práce jsou formulována konkrétní doporučení a návrhy na zlepšení pro provozovatele ubytovacích zařízení. Tato doporučení vycházejí jak z výsledků analytické části práce, tak i z teoretických poznatků.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis explores the intercultural specifics of the french clientele in a hotel. The first objective of the thesis is to evaluate the level of guest satisfaction during their stay in Prague hotels. The second objective is to find out what is the most common reason of french guests complaints and misunderstandings in the hotel enviroment. Both objectives are accomplished by an analysis. According to the objectives, 2 hypotheses has been set. The thesis is divided into 3 parts: theoretical, analytical and proposal. First part, which is based on the literature search, deals with important terms of hotel industry, marketing and intercultural communication. In the second part the analysis of guest’s online reviews on Tripadvisor has been made. The third part includes specific advice and recommentadions to the hotel operators on what to improve. Those recommendations are based on the results of the analytical part of the thesis, as well as on the theoretical findings.
