Genesis of Investment Strategy of Banks in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je zhodnotit vývoj poskytování spotřebitelských úvěrů, kontokorentů, kreditních karet a hypotečních úvěrů u KB a ČS během let 2000-2020. Dílčím cílem je komparovat u vybraných subjektů čistý úrokový výnos a čistou úrokovou marži vzhledem ke stavu ekonomiky. Pro naplnění stanovených cílů jsou použity metody analýzy vybraných ukazatelů z účetních závěrek KB a ČS, deskripce a komparace. Druhá kapitola je věnována podstatě komerčního bankovnictví, zkoumaným úvěrovým produktům a rizikům v bankovnictví. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na vývoj základních makroekonomických ukazatelů, hypotečního trhu a trhu spotřebitelských úvěrů během let 2000-2020. Dále srovnává vývoj spotřebitelských úvěrů, kontokorentů, kreditních karet, hypotečních úvěrů a vybraných výnosových ukazatelů u KB a ČS v tomto období. V návaznosti na to jsou ve čtvrté kapitole uvedeny návrhy de lege ferenda.

Abstract:

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the development of consumer loans, overdrafts, credit cards and mortgage loans at KB and ČS during the period 2000-2020. The sub-objective is to com-pare the net interest income and net interest margin of our selected entities with respect to state of economy. To meet the objectives, the methods of analysis of selected indicators of the closing financial statements of KB and ČS, description and comparison are used. The second chapter is devoted to the essence of commercial banking, selected cred-it products and risks in banking. The third chapter focuses on the evolution of the underlying macroeconomic indicators, the mortgage market and the consumer credit market over the period 2000-2020. Furthermore, compares the evolution of consumer loans, overdrafts, credit cards, mortgage loans and selected profitability indicators at KB and ČS over the years in this time period. This is followed by de lege ferenda proposals in the fourth chapter.
