This thesis will analyze the nuanced layers of Huey Long’s literary and cultural legacy. It will examine how his character type has been shaped, reimagined, and mythologized in American society. Furthermore, this thesis aims to study what Huey Long represents in American myth and what insights his character type offers in examining American politics and culture.
