Upper limbs symetry during push ups in different hand positions

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo prověřit asymetrii horních končetin při kliku ve vzporu ležmo s rozdílným postavením rukou na podložce. Subjektem tohoto výzkumu bylo pět studentů katedry studií lidského pohybu (věk: 21,6 ? 0,8 let, výška 179,6 ? 7,71cm, váha 80,6 ? 10,82kg), kteří aktivně cvičí v posilovně. Probandi vykonali tři pokusy na obě horní končetiny s rozdílným postavení rukou na podložce. Jedná se o paralelní postavení a postavení s interní rotací. Výzkum diplomové práce využil silové plošiny Kistler se systémem pro kinematickou analýzu Qualisys. Analýza dat byla zpracována v systému Visual3D. Při provedení kliků ve vzporu ležmo s rozdílným postavením rukou na podložce bylo zjištěno, že nedochází k výrazné asymetrii u obou vyšetřovaných technik z pohledu kinematiky a loketního kloubu. Vyšší asymetrie byla zjištěna pouze u maxima kompresní síly v loketním kloubu. Nejedná se však o věcně významné rozdíly mezi technikami. Výsledky tedy naznačují, že provedení kliků ve vzporu ležmo je z pohledu výběru techniky a symetrie velmi podobné a volba techniky tak závisí na individuální preferenci sportovce.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to study the asymmetry of the upper limbs during pushups in different hand positions on the exercise mat. Five students of the Department of Human Movement Studies (age 21,6 ? 0,8 years old, height 179,6 ? 7,71cm, weight80,6 ? 10,82kg who regularly exercise in the gym were subjected to experiments. Subjects performed three experiments with different hand positions of both upper limbs on the mat. Positions chosen were parallel position and position with internal rotation. A Kistler power platform with a system for kinematic analysis Qualisys was used for the experiments. Data analysis was performed in Visual3D. Experiments showed that there is no significant asymmetry in the two examined techniques from the viewpoint of elbow joint kinematics during pushups in different hand positions. Higher asymmetry was detected only at the maximum compression force in the elbow joint. However, these are not significant differences between techniques. In summary, the results indicate that the techniques of pushups are very similar in terms of symmetry and the choice is up to individual preference of the athlete.
