Petrographic and structural study of granulites in Plešovice surroundings, Blanský les Massif

Abstract:

V této diplomové se věnuji vztahu krystalizace a deformace v granulitovém masivu Blanského lesa, především v dobře odkrytém a přístupném lomu Plešovice. V prostoru lomu jsou patrné strukturní záznamy tří duktilních deformačních fází. Dominantní je foliační systém S3, který tvoří naprostou většinu objemu struktur v lomu. Ten je shodný s regionální foliací okolního moldanubika. Lokálně jsou zachovány zvrásněné relikty staršího foliačního systému S2, zatímco primární foliace S1, popisovaná v granulitovém tělese Blanského lesa v pruhu probíhajícím jz. až z. od lomu, zde nebyla vůbec pozorována. V celém prostoru lomu je dominantní foliace S3 porušena soustavou duktilních střižných zón S4. Foliační systémy S2 a S3 vznikaly v podmínkách amfibolitové facie. Retrogrese granulitů v podmínkách amfibolitové facie se projevuje růstem biotitu a amfibolu. Biotit roste prokazatelně na úkor granátu, což je patrné i v makroskopickém měřítku.

Abstract:

In this diploma thesis I deal with the relationship between crystallization and deformation in the Blanský les granulite massif, especially at the very well uncovered and accessible quarry Plešovice. In the quarry area there are clearly evident structural remains of three-ductile-phase deformation. The foliation system of S3 that constitutes the overwhelming bulk of the structures in the quarry can be considered dominant. This is consistent with the regional foliation in the surrounding Moldanubicum. Some wrinkled relics of an older foliation system of S2 have been preserved locally, while the primary foliation of S1 described in granulite body of the Blanský les in the stripe running from the south-west to the west from the quarry has been never observed there. In the whole area of the quarry there is the dominant foliation of S3 violated with the system of ductile shear zones of S4. The foliation systems of S2 and S3 were formed in conditions of amphibolite facies. The retrogression of granulites in conditions of amphibolite facies can be clearly proved by growth of biotite and amphibole. The Biotite grows demonstrably at the expense of garnet, which is visible even in macroscopic scale.
