Commented translation of the extract taken from a literary text

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the translation of a selected part of the original text and its commentary. The original text was a play called Surfeurs written by the author XAVIER DURRINGER. This work deals with the lives of young people who are addicted to drugs. The work is divided into two parts. In the first part, we present the original text with our translation into the Czech language. The second part consists of a commentary of the translation. It is divided into stylistic, lexical and syntactic analysis, which are the most important problems when translating the original text. The supplement of this thesis consists of a Franco-Czech glossary of key terms relating to colloquial speech, slang and vulgarism arising from the original text. The aim of this thesis is to present the most important problems with the translation of the text, which is written primarily in colloquial language.

Abstract:

Le présent mémoire de master s?oriente vers la traduction de l?extrait d?un texte choisi et vers son commentaire. Le texte de départ est représenté par la pi?ce de théâtre Surfeurs écrite par l?auteur XAVIER DURRINGER. Cette ?uvre est consacrée ? la vie de jeunes gens qui dépendent des drogues. Le présent mémoire est partagé en deux parties. Dans la premi?re partie, nous représentons le texte de départ ensemble avec notre traduction en tch?que. La deuxi?me partie est formée par le commentaire de la traduction. Celui-ci est divisé en analyse stylistique, lexicale et syntaxique o? nous représentons les majeurs probl?mes de traduction du texte source. En annexe, nous ajoutons le glossaire franco-tch?que des termes choisis relatifs au langage familier, ? l?argot et aux vulgarismes découlant du texte de départ. L?objectif du présent mémoire est la présentation de majeurs probl?mes de traduction du texte qui est écrit surtout en langage familier.
