Abstract:

Bc. REVAI, Severina. Transatlantic partnership between the US and the EU - developments and perspectives. [Master’s Dissertation] University College Prague – College of International Relations and Institute of Hospitality Management and Economics Ltd. Bratislava: 2023, 72 pp. The diploma thesis has a theoretical character. The aim of the thesis is the evaluation of meaning of the transatlantic partnership between the EU and the USA. In the diploma thesis, we deal with the transatlantic partnership between the EU and the USA from its beginnings. In the first chapter of the thesis, we will discuss the causes of the emergence and formation of the transatlantic partnership between the EU and the USA. We will bring to your attention important documents and contracts of this partnership. We will point out the contradictions in relations, but we will also focus on the importance of the EU-US transatlantic partnership after the Cold War and in the 21st century. In the second chapter, we will point out the economic and trade policy of the EU and the USA. In the third chapter, we will zoom in on the transatlantic partnership in foreign and security policy between the EU and the USA, touch on the currently ongoing war in Ukraine, while mentioning the development of public opinion on surveys conducted by renowned agencies operating at regional and international level.

[Diplomová práca] University College Prague – Vysoká škola mezinárodních vztahů a Vysoká škola hotelová a ekonomická s.r.o. Bratislava: 2023. 72 str. Diplomová práca má teoretický charakter. Cieľom diplomovej práce je vyhodnotenie významu transatlantického partnerstva medzi EÚ a USA. V diplomovej práci sa venujeme transatlantickému partnerstvu medzi EÚ a USA od jeho počiatkov. V prvej kapitole práce rozoberieme príčiny vzniku a formovania transatlantického partnerstva medzi EÚ a USA. Do pozornosti dáme dôležité dokumenty a zmluvy tohto partnerstva. Poukážeme na rozpory vo vzťahoch, ale upriamime sa aj na význam transatlantického partnerstva EÚ a USA po studenej vojne a v 21. storočí. V druhej kapitole poukážeme na hospodársku a obchodnú politiku EÚ a USA. V tretej kapitole priblížime transatlantické partnerstvo v zahraničnej a bezpečnostnej politike medzi EÚ a USA, dotkneme sa v súčasnosti prebiehajúcej vojny na Ukrajine, pričom zmienime vývoj verejnej mienky o prieskumy realizované renomovanými agentúrami pôsobiacimi na regionálnej aj medzinárodnej úrovni.
