This diploma thesis deals with a problematic of a musical translation. The thesis analyses German popular musical Tanz der Vampire, written by Michael Kunze and Jim Steinman, on which example it tries to clarify basic principles of the translation for the musical theatre. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou muzikálového překladu. Analyzuje německý kultovní muzikál Michaela Kunzeho a Jima Steinmana Tanz der Vampire, na jehož příkladu se snaží objasnit základní principy překladu pro muzikálové divadlo, který klade důraz na zpěvnost a rytmizaci, ale i na působení textu v konkrétním uvedení na jevišti.
