Harmonisation of the Czech taxation with EU - costs and benefit

Abstract:

The Final Thesis "Harmonisation of Czech Tax Legislation with that of the EU – Expenses and Benefit" deals with the process of how the tax systems of the European Union member states converge. This process is not new and dates back to the past, when the tax system as such started to evolve. It is a common knowledge that the European Union is an area with a high tax burden and it is vital for the taxes in this group of countries to converge. As the direct tax harmonisation is very complex, the focus of my Thesis is primarily on the indirect taxes and VAT. The tax harmonisation is a long-term process which will continue in the future, as the European integration will.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca „Harmonizácia českých daní s EÚ – náklady a prínosy“ prináša pohľad na proces zbližovania daňových systémov členských krajín Európskej únie. Tento proces siaha až do minulosti, kedy sa začali daňové systémy vyvíjať. Európska únia je všeobecne známa ako oblasť s vysokým daňovým zaťažením a je dôležité priblížiť si dane v tomto zoskupení štátov. Harmonizácia priamych daní je veľmi komplikovaná, preto sa práca zameriava hlavne na nepriame dane a DPH. Európska integrácia je dlhodobý proces, ktorý bude pokračovať rovnako ako daňová harmonizácia aj v budúcnosti.
