Education in mining towns in the Early Modern Period at selected cities

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je vzdělanost v hornických městech v raném novověku na příkladu vybraných lokalit. Těmito lokalitami jsou myšlena tři významná horní města, a to Kutná Hora, Jihlava a Příbram. Na základě informací získaných z těchto a dalších měst pro dobu předbělohorskou bude naší snahou postihnout úroveň vzdělanosti v jednotlivých městech na pozadí jejich hospodářské, ekonomické a sociální dobové situace. Z prostudované literatury a pramenů bude zachycen obraz vzdělanosti na celém území Čech pro raný novověk. Dále bude detailněji nazíráno na tento obraz ve výše uvedených třech městech, přičemž uvedeme i příklady jednotlivých vzdělanců.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis was the education in mining towns in the early modern period in the example of selected locations. These locations were three important mining towns Kutna Hora, Jihlava and Pribram. Based on the information obtained from these and other cities for a period of Pre-White was affected the level of education in each city on the background of the social, and economic situation of the period. From the literature and other sources was made the image of education throughout Bohemia for the early modern period. Further, was studied in detail this image in the three selected cities, and was also mentioned the examples of individual scholars.
