Bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuální problematikou emisí produkovaných spalovacími motory, zejména pak s důrazem na pevné částice. Úvodní část práce se zabývá mechanismy vzniku těchto emisí u vznětových i zážehových spalovacích motorů a dále pak příčinami vzniku škodlivých látek ve spalinách a opatřeními, jež se využívají před motorem, v motoru i za motorem pro jejich snížení.
