The Position of the Dermacol Brand on the Czech Market from the point of view of Marketing and Communication Strategy

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the position of the brand Dermacol in the Czech market from the point of view of marketing and communication strategy. In the first theoretical part, we define the basic terms such as strategy, marketing and marketing strategy, we focus on the analysis, the diagnosis and the most used methods, on the setting of the objectives, and on the choice of marketing strategy. Finally, we talk about the marketing mix and the communication mix. In the second practical part, we discuss the company Dermacol, a.s., its objectives, its marketing mix and communication mix. We specify its choice of marketing strategy. We do the analysis and diagnosis using methods such as PESTEL analysis, force field, value chain, resources and skills and SWOT analysis. The work is supported by an interview with the Brand Manager of Dermacol and by the questions published on social networks. The work is completed with an assessment of the position of the Dermacol brand in the Czech market, and recommendations and suggestions for improvement.

L'objectif de ce mémoire est d'analyser la position de la marque Dermacol sur le marché tcheque du point de vue de la stratégie marketing et de communication. En premiere partie théorique, on définit les termes de base tels que la stratégie, le marketing et la stratégie marketing, on se focalise sur l'analyse, le diagnostic et les méthodes les plus utilisées, sur la fixation des objectifs et le choix de la stratégie marketing. Finalement, on parle du marketing mix et du mix de communication. Dans la deuxieme partie pratique, nous abordons l'entreprise Dermacol, a.s., ses objectifs, son marketing mix et mix de communication. Nous précisons son choix de la stratégie marketing. Nous faisons l'analyse et le diagnostic en utilisant les méthodes telles que l'analyse PESTEL, le champ de forces, la chaine de valeur, les ressources et les compétences et l'analyse SWOT. Le travail est soutenu par un entretien avec la Brand Manager de Dermacol et par le questionnement publié sur les réseaux sociaux. Le travail est terminé par une évaluation de la position de la marque Dermacol sur le marché tcheque, et des recommandations et des suggestions d'amélioration.
