Turkey as Middle Power: Analysis of Turkey’s behaviour in the UN
Abstract:
The thesis examines Turkey's conduct at the United Nations and anal-yses the extent to which the country's conduct corresponds to that of a Middle power in the years when Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was at the helm. The thesis operationalizes an ideal type of middle power on the basis of previous literature in this field and compares Turkey's conduct with this ideal type. Diplomová práca sa zaoberá jednaním Turecka na pôde Organizácie spojených národov a anaylzuje, do akej miery zodpovedá jednanie krajiny mocnosti stredného rádu v rokoch, kedy na jej čele stál Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
