Abstract:

This Diploma Thesis analyses one of the most important historical movement and phenomenon – charity. Charity as such has a long and proven history in all known civilizations, cultures and religions, including Christianity and Islam, in the past and in the present. The aim of this paper is to assess the evolution of charitable giving during the centuries, religions and cultures. Special paragraphs talk about types and forms of charity, how charity become part of IT technology and how internet help now to raise more money for nonprofit organizations. Apart from that the work brings detailed explanation of Kind Cloud project and why this project have opportunities to change currents situation on the charity market. Special attention is paid to survey of potential customers (users) of the project and web site structure.
