Práce se zabývá problematikou vzniku a vývoje českých gymnázií na Moravě v období Rakouska Uherska. Téma je interpretováno na příkladě Slovanského gymnázia v Olomouci. Ústav byl pro práci vybrán, protože je společně s brněnským Slovanským gymnáziem nejstarší středoškolskou institucí s českým jazykem vyučovacím na Moravě, v Olomouci byl pak první českou školou vůbec. The work deals with the problems of establishment and development of Czech grammar schools in Moravia during the Austrian-Hungarian period.
