The needs of the mother of an immature newborn

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat bio-psycho-sociální potřeby matky nezralého novorozence. Dále pak zhodnotit dopad těžké životní události na život matky a její rodiny. Metodika: Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část rozebírá problematiku předčasně narozeného novorozence, předčasný porod, lidské potřeby a jejich naplnění u matky nezralého novorozence. Empirická část bakalářské práce je zpracována formou kazuistiky, která poskytuje komplexní pohled do problematiky. Člení se do podkapitol tvořících jednotlivé části - anamnézu, hodnotící matčin stav před otěhotněním a katamnézu, zaznamenávající období těhotenství, hospitalizace matky i novorozenců a pobyt v domácím prostředí. V každé části katamnézy je popsána analýza a interpretace. Sběr informací proběhl pomocí rozhovoru. Výsledky: Práce je zaměřena na bio-psycho-sociální potřeby matky nezralého novorozence a zmiňuje vliv těžké životní situace na její rodinu. V průběhu těhotenství se lidské potřeby matky změnily. Do popředí začaly vystupovat potřeby bezpečí a jistoty. V období hospitalizací dětí a propuštění do domácí péče byly dominantní také potřeby sounáležitosti a lásky. Míra saturace těchto i ostatních potřeb se v průběhu času odvíjela od právě aktuální situace, ve které se rodina nacházela. Závěr: Negativní ovlivnění potřeb matky nezralého novorozence může zmírnit správný přístup zdravotníků k ženě, její rodině a okolí. Pokud matka vyžaduje zapojení do péče o novorozence, zdravotníci by jí to měli umožnit v takové míře, jak to klinický stav novorozenců umožňuje. Takový přístup zlepší psychiku ženy a její potřeby budou více uspokojovány.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe the bio-psycho-social needs of the mother of an immature newborn. Further assess the impact of a difficult life event on the life of the mother and her family. Methodology: The work is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical section discusses the issue of premature newborn, premature birth, human needs and their fulfillment in the mother of immature newborn. The empirical part of the bachelor's thesis is processed in the form of a case report, which provides a comprehensive insight into the issues. It is sub-chaptered into the sub-chapters comprising the individual parts - medical history, assessment of the mother's pre-pregnancy status and catamnesia, recording the period of pregnancy, hospitalisation of the mother and newborns, and residence at home. Analysis and interpretation are described in each part of the catamnesia. The information was collected by means of an interview. Results: The work focuses on the bio-psycho-social needs of a mother of an immature newborn and mentions the impact of a difficult living situation on her family. During pregnancy, the mother's human needs changed. The need for safety and security came to the fore. During the period of hospitalization of children and release to home care, the needs of belonging and love were also dominant. The degree of saturation of these and other needs over time depended on the current situation in which the family found itself. Conclusion: Negative effects on the needs of the mother of an immature newborn can alleviate proper access by health professionals to the woman, her family and her surroundings. If the mother requires involvement in the care of the newborn, health professionals should allow her to do so to the extent that the clinical condition of the newborn allows. Such an approach will improve a woman's psyche and her needs will be more met.
