The role of immunohematology in pre-transfusion examination

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá hodnocením počtu imunizovaných pacientů v průběhu sledovaného období. Zároveň je v práci vysvětlen dopad metodiky práce na počty zachycených erytro-cytárních aloprotilátek a to zda výběr erytrocytárních transfuzních přípravků dle Rh-Kell fenotypu vybraným pacientům (ženy ve fertilním věku, u pacientů se známými nepravidel-nými protilátkami, u nemocných s předpokládanou potřebou opakovaných transfuzí) od roku 2018 má vliv na četnost výskytu aloprotilátek v následujících letech. V průběhu sle-dovaného období se počty zachycených erytrocytárních aloprotilátek mírně měnily. Důle-žité je, že nedochází k menšímu záchytu v důsledku použité metodiky v porovnání se za-čátkem sledovaného období. Dle nově zavedeného postupu od roku 2018 můžeme říci, že se dá očekávat zlepšení, co se týče počtu imunizovaných pacientů z vybraných skupin v následujících letech.

Abstract:

This paper deals with the evaluation of the number of immunized patients during the period under study. It also explains the impact of the methodology of the work on the number of detected erythrocyte alloprotobodies and whether the selection of erythrocyte transfusion products according to Rh-Kell phenotype for selected patients (women of childbearing age, patients with known irregular antibodies, patients with the expected need for repeated transfusions) from 2018 onwards has an impact on the frequency of alloprotobodies in sub-sequent years. During the sle-dated period, the numbers of erythrocyte allopro- antibodies detected varied slightly. Importantly, there is no decrease in the number of detections due to the methodology used compared to the beginning of the reporting period. According to the newly introduced procedure as of 2018, we can say that an improvement can be expec-ted in terms of the number of immunized patients from selected groups in the following years.
