Preparation and Modification of Films on Bases Chitosan/Gelatin

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá přípravou kompozitních filmů na bázi chitosan/želatina a následnou modifikací jejich vlastností síťováním pomocí glutaraldehydu a UV záření. V první sérii bylo zjištěno, že dodatečný ohřev filmů při 60 °C má velký vliv na jejich vlastnosti. Ve druhé sérii byly poté vzorky ozařovány UV, čímž také došlo k zesíťování filmů a snížení jejich botnání. Nejnižších hodnot botnání (248 %) bylo dosaženo u filmu s 5 wt% glutaraldehydu a ozařovaných 6 hodin.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the preparation of composite films based on chitosan/gelatin and subsequent modification of their properties by cross-linking using glutaraldehyde and UV radiation. In the first series, it was found that additional heating of the films at 60 °C has a great effect on their properties. In the second series, the samples were then irradiated with UV, which also led to cross-linking of the films and reduction of their swelling. The lowest swelling values (248 %) were achieved for the film with 5 wt% glutaraldehyde and irradiated for 6 hours.
