Genesis and Doom of the Czechoslovak Republic

Abstract:

V prvej časti práce sa autor zameriava na vznik vzťahu Čechov a Slovákov. Najväčší priestor dostávajú kapitoly: jazyková otázka a teória čechoslovakizmu. Sledujeme vznik, priebeh a riešenia historických tém. V závere týchto kapitol autor zaujíma stanovisko, ktoré je nevyhnutne podoprené názormi odborníkov. V druhej časti práce sa autor zameriava na české a slovenské heterostereotypy. Najdôležitejšou témou celej práce je téma {\clqq}pomlčkovej vojny``. Pomlčková vojna stála z historického pohľadu na začiatku udalostí, ktoré smerovali k rozdeleniu Československa. Rovnako, ako v prvej časti, sledujeme vznik, priebeh a výsledok pomlčkovej vojny. Autor v texte pracuje s odbornou literatúrou a súčasťou práce je bohatý poznámkový aparát. Dôležitú súčasť práce tvoria publicistické texty.

Abstract:

Bachelor´s work Genesis and Doom of the Czechoslovak Republic is composed from two thematic parts. In the first part of the work the author is focused on the rise of relations between Czechs and Slovaks. These two chapters get the biggest space: the question of the language and theory of czechoslovakism. In the second part of the work, the author surveys Czech and Slovak heterostereotypes. The most important theme of the whole work is the theme of so called " the hyphen war". The hyphen war, from historical point of view, was standing at the beginning of the events which led to the separation of Czechoslovakia. In the same way, as in the first part, we can watch the rise, process and result of the hyphen war. The author was working with information from the contemporary literature and recently published publications which were focused on the problems of Czecho-Slovak relations. The publicists texts are the important part of the work.
