This bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first practical part, we are introducing translation of passage from novel "Les gens du Balto" by promising young french authoress of Algerian origin Faïza Guène. Bakalářská diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. V úvodní praktické části představujeme překlad úryvku z detektivního románu Les gens du Balto od nadějné mladé francouzské autorky alžírského původu Faïzy Guènové.
