V textu hledáme identitu tělesné kultury a vztah tohoto sociokulturního subsystému k přírodě. Vycházíme při tom z evoluční ontologie Josefa Šmajse. Ta podle nás nabízí vhodný přístup pro kritiku současného pojímání tělesné kultury tuzemskými filosofy sportu. Dovoluje uchopit tělesnou kulturu jako součást protipřírodní kultury. In the text we are searching for identity of physical culture and also the relationship between this socio-cultural subsystem and nature. Our foundation is evolutionary ontology (Josef Šmajs). It gives us a proper approach for the review of contemporary conceptions of physical culture by Czech philosophers of sport.
