Kabuki; Japanese Theatre during the Tokugawa shogunate

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá divadlem kabuki, tradiční formou japonského divadla známou od 17. století, a jeho osudem během vlády Tokugawů. Tento druh japonského divadla je čtenáři přiblížen skrze vysvětlení historických souvislostí, komparací s nógaku a džóruri, a především popis jednotlivých složek a specifik tvořících kabuki (např.: jeviště, kostýmy, onnagata apod.). Cílem práce je přinést ucelený, dobou neovlivněný pohled na kabuki v českém jazyce a ukázat asijské divadlo českým čtenářům.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the kabuki theatre during the reign of Tokugawa clan, classical japanese dance-drama form originated in the 17th century. It describes this type of the japanese theatre by the historical explanation, by the comparison with noh and joruri, and especially by the description of particular components forming kabuki (e.g. the stage, costumes, onnagata etc.). The thesis aims to summarize information in the czech language which are not influenced by the political regime and give czech readers insight into asian theatre.
