Pařížská, nebo též Versailleská, mírová konference byla bezesporu do té doby nejrozsáhlejší, nejreprezentativnějším a rovněž nejkomplikovanějším mírovým zasedáním v historii diplomacie. O uspořádání nové Evropy rozhodovala jen hrstka lidí z vítězných mocností, kteří se nejvíce ohlíželi na zájmy svých zemí. The conference had officially strarted on January 18, 1919 and there were twenty-seven states and five British dominions (India, Canada, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand) participating in it.
