Práce se zabývá historií slévárenství v Plzni a především v jejím širším okolí. Popisuje umístění a vývoj nejznámějších sléváren a strojíren, jejich technologií a výrobního programu. Ukazuje postupný růst původně malých středověkých firem a jejich přechod od malovýroby k velkoobjemové výrobě. This thesis deals with the history of metalurgy in Pilsen and its surroundings. There is described the placement and evolution of the most famous foundries and machine engineering factories, their techology and producing program.
