Abstract:

ZAŤKO, Michal. Measures to reduce the negative impacts of economic and financial crisis on the hotel economy. [Master’s Dissertation]. The Institute of Hospitality Management. Prague : 2013. 74 p. The aim of the thesis was based on an analysis of the competitive environment and financial analyzes hotel Roháč propose measures that would help establish an accommodation business perspective the situation in the future, in order to reduce the impact of the financial and economic crisis. The thesis is divided into 3 parts. The first, theoretical part deals with the characteristics of tourism as a whole, the hotel and its development in Slovakia, the definition of the tourism industry and the impacts of the economic crisis in the world respectively Slovak hotel industry. Its analytical part is dedicated to the supply and demand for collective accommodation establishments in the district Tvrdošín, a detailed description of the hotel Roháč, description of services offered by the hotel to its clients. Furthermore, we deal with the analysis of competition Roháč hotel itself and comparing this hotel with three competing devices. This section shows the financial analysis included the calculation of the individual indicators. The design part of the thesis we propose a measure that should be included to help avoid the pitfalls of the financial and economic crisis. It will measures mainly innovating and improving the services provided and to the extent that the hotel kept promising position in the future.

Cieľom záverečnej práce bolo na základe analýzy konkurenčného prostredia a finančnej analýzy hotela Roháč navrhnúť opatrenia, ktoré by ubytovaciemu zariadeniu pomohli nastoliť perspektívnu situáciu do budúcnosti, za účelom zníženia dopadov finančnej a ekonomickej krízy. Diplomová práca je rozdelená do 3 častí. Prvá, teoretická časť sa zaoberá charakteristikou cestovného ruchu ako celku, hotelierstvom a jeho vývojom na Slovensku, definíciou priemyslu cestovného ruchu a dopadmi hospodárskej krízy na svetové respektíve slovenské hotelierstvo. Jej analytická časť sa venuje popisu ponuky a dopytu po hromadných ubytovacích zariadeniach v okrese Tvrdošín, podrobnému popisu hotela Roháč, popisu služieb, ktoré hotel ponúka svojim klientom. Ďalej sa tu zaoberáme analýzou konkurencie hotela Roháč a samotným porovnaním tohto hotela s tromi konkurenčnými zariadeniami. V tejto časti sme zobrazili finančnú analýzu hotela s prepočtom jednotlivých ukazovateľov. V návrhovej časti diplomovej práce budeme navrhovať také opatrenia, ktoré by mali hotelu pomôcť vyvarovať sa nástrahám finančnej a ekonomickej krízy. Budú to opatrenia týkajúce sa hlavne inovovania a skvalitnenia poskytovaných služieb a to do takej miery, aby si hotel udržal perspektívne postavenie aj do budúcnosti.
