Features of colloquial Spanish in the series El Colega Canario

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the analysis of the Spanish language used in the series El Colega Canario. The theoretical part focuses on the general terminology of the colloquial language. It discusses its basic characteristics, first from a general perspective and later according to linguistic levels. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the corpus built from the transcription of the spoken language used in the series. The aim of the thesis is to describe these corpus units and thus to conclude that the El Colega Canario series consists largely of spoken conversations and is therefore a beneficial resource for enriching the linguistic abilities of learners of Spanish.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá analýzou španielskeho jazyka použitého v seriáli El Colega Canario. Teoretická časť sa zameriava na všeobecnú terminológiu hovorového jazyka. Rozoberajú sa v nej jeho základné charakteristiky najprv zo všeobecného pohľadu a neskôr podľa jazykových úrovní. Praktická časť sa zameriava na analýzu korpusu zostaveného zo zápisu hovorenej reči použitej v seriáli. Cieľom práce je popísať tieto jednotky korpusu a tak dospieť k záveru, že seriál El Colega Canario pozostáva z veľkej časti z hovorových konverzácií, preto je prínosným zdrojom pre obohatenie jazykových schopností študentov španielčiny.
