Traditional industrial areas in Ústí nad Labem - analysis of current development and perspectives

Abstract:

Předmětem výzkumu této diplomové práce jsou tradiční industriální areály v Ústí nad Labem. Industriální areály jsou živým odkazem průmyslové historie města a jejich další budoucnost může být pro Ústí nad Labem klíčová. Práce předkládá základní teoretický rámec problematiky industriálních areálů a jejich dalšího využití. V rámci výzkumu jsou areály vybrané na základě zvolených kritérií analyzovány a kriticky hodnoceny z pohledu historie a současného stavu. Na základě analýzy jsou kvalitativní ukazatele současného stavu a aspekty ovlivňující rozvoj kvantifikovány v hodnotící matici vybraných areálů. Hodnocené areály jsou následně komparovány dle jednotlivých hodnocených faktorů. Výsledkem analýzy a srovnání areálů jsou navržené perspektivy jejich rozvoje a doporučené formy revitalizace.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is the traditional industiral sites in Ústí nad Labem. Industrial areas are a livinig legacy of industrial history of the city and their future can be crucial for Ústí nad Labem. The thesis presents the basic theoretical framework of the problems of industrial sites and their futrure use. Within the frameworks of the research areas are analyzed and critically evaluated from the prespective of the history and their present state. Based on the analysis, the qualitative indicators of present state and aspects influencing development are quantified in evaluation matrix of choosen areas. The evaluated sites are compared according to the particular factors. The result of the analysis and comparison of the sites are proposed perspectives of their development and recommended forms of revitalization.
