Local Development of the City of Vsetín through Cultural Infrastructure

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce řeší téma "Místní rozvoj města Vsetín prostřednictvím kulturní infrastruktury". Práce je strukturována do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. První kapitola teoretické části pojednává především o vymezení základních pojmů kultura, kulturní politika a kulturní dědictví. Druhá kapitola řeší problematiku regionálního a místního rozvoje, do které spadají Místní akční skupiny, Ministerstvo pro místní rozvoj a v poslední řadě také udržitelný rozvoj. V praktické části je provedeno představení okresu a města Vsetín. Jsou zde obsaženy informace o obyvatelstvu, historii a strategickém plánu rozvoje. Představení okresu a města Vsetín doplňuje rozbor kulturní infrastruktury. Na závěr byly uskutečněny semistrukturované rozhovory s klíčovými aktéry místní kultury. Tyto rozhovory sloužily jako podklad pro návrhy opatření k podpoře rozvoje kulturního sektoru ve městě.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic "Local development of the city of Vsetín through cultural infrastructure". The thesis is structured in two parts, theoretical and practical. The first chapter of the theoretical part deals mainly with the definition of the basic concepts of culture, cultural policy and cultural heritage. The second chapter deals with the issue of regional and local development, which includes Local Action Groups, the Ministry for Local Development and, last but not least, sustainable development. In the practical part an introduction to the district and the town of Vsetín is made. Information about the population, history and the strategic development plan is included. The presentation of the district and the town of Vsetín is complemented by an analysis of the cultural infrastructure. Finally, semi-structured interviews were conducted with key actors of the local culture. These interviews served as a basis for proposing measures to support the development of the cultural sector in the city.
