Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem Self-Service Business Intelligence nástroje - komparace Power BI a Pyramid2018 má stanoveny dva hlavní cíle. Prvním hlavním cílem práce je analýza a deskripce trendu zvaného SSBI (Self-Service Business Intelligence). Tomuto tématu jsou věnovány kapitoly 1 a 2, kde je popsán vývoj, architektura a problémy, které sebou BI přístup přináší. V návaznosti na problémy tohoto přístupu je představen SSBI přístup, který řeší nedostatky předešlého přístupu. Druhým hlavním cílem práce je popis a komparace vybraných SSBI nástrojů. V tomto případě se jedná o nástroje Power BI a Pyramid2018, které byly vybrány z reportu společnosti Gartner. V rámci praktické části práce, která se zaměřuje na naplnění druhého stanoveného cíle, jsou krátce charakterizovány porovnávané nástroje a dále je představena vytvořená metodika hodnocení pro komparaci SSBI nástrojů. Výchozí metodou, která byla upravena do odpovídající formy pro potřeby této komparace, byla zvolena metoda pořadí s váhami. Do metodiky byly dále zasazeny 4 oblasti hodnocení (Konektivita, Vizualizace, Kolaborace a Dashboard), kterým byly přiřazeny váhy na základě výsledků získaných z provedeného dotazníkového šetření. Po krátké charakteristice komparovaných SSBI nástrojů a vytvoření metodiky hodnocení se přešlo ke komparaci zvolených nástrojů na základě vybraných oblastí. V části vyhodnocení je posouzeno, jak úspěšně nástroje obstály v jednotlivých kritériích a kterým oblastem by měly společnosti vyvíjející tyto nástroje věnovat svou pozornost.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis named Self-Service Business Intelligence - Comparison of Power BI and Pyramid2018 is dealing with 2 main themes. The first main theme of this work is analysis and description of the trend called SSBI (SelfService Business Intelligence). This topic is discussed in the first and second chapter of this thesis. Those chapters include description, architecture and problems that this approach carries. As a response to those problems SSBI approach is introduced. The second main theme is description and comparation of selected SSBI tools. In this case the tools are Power BI and Pyramid2018 which were taken from Gartner's report. In the practical part of the thesis, which is focusing on fulfilling of the second set goal, the tools are briefly characterized. Also, methodology of evaluation for comparing SSBI tools is presented. The default method, which has been selected and adjusted to the corresponding form for the purposes of this comparison was method of order with weights. Next, 4 areas of evaluation (Connectivity, Visualization, Collaboration and Dashboard) were put into methodology with assigned weights based on the results obtained from a survey. After a brief description of the compared SSBI tools and creation of the evaluation methodology, the selected tools were compared on basis of the selected areas. In the evaluation part it is assessed how successfully these tools have met specified criteria and to which ones the companies developing these tools should devote their attention to.
