Fairy tale in the dramatic work of Joël Pommerat

Abstract:

Diplomová práce představuje českému divadelnímu kontextu tvorbu francouzského dramatika a režiséra Joëla Pommerata a zaměřuje se převážně na textovou podobu jeho her pro děti. Z adaptací tří klasických pohádek si vybírá pouze dvě, a to Červenou Karkulku a Popelku, jež na rozdíl od Pinocchia spojují dívčí protagonistky a autorova inspirace v díle zřejmě nejznámějších evropských pohádkářů: Charlese Perraulta a bratří Grimmů. Vedle komparace s těmito předlohami se pak soustředí především na motivicko-tematický výklad Pommeratových adaptací, který opírá o četné psychoanalytické výklady klasických verzí pohádek a hledá způsob, jakým se tyto výklady promítají, případně transformují do zpracování Pommeratova. Druhou část práce pak tvoří tvůrčí výstup studentky v podobě překladů obou her.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis presents the work of French playwright and director Joël Pommerat to the Czech theatre context and focuses mainly on the text form of his plays for children. It chooses only two of the three classic fairy tale adaptations, namely Red Riding Hood and Cinderella, which are related, unlike Pinocchio, by the girls‘ protagonists and the author‘s inspiration in the work of probably the most famous European tale-tellers: Charles Perrault and the Grimm Brothers. Apart from comparing them with the templates, it focuses primarily on the motivic and thematic explanation of the Pommerat‘s adaptations, which uses numerous psychoanalytic interpretations of the fairy tales‘ classical versions, and seeks the way in which these interpretations are projected or eventually transformed into Pommerat‘s rendition. The second part of the thesis is then composed of student‘s creative output in the form of translations of both plays.
